The Soy Latino Como Tu literature contest has the purpose of fostering interest in the Spanish language and promoting literature and writing among young people.

After the winners of the literature contest have been chosen, the jury will contact the winners, communicate the results, and publish the results across different media outlets.

Contest Rules:

1.) The contest is open to residents of Mecklenburg, Union, Gaston, Cabarrus, and Iredell counties in North Carolina, USA.

2.) The writer may freely choose the subject of the story.

3.) Soy Latino Como Tu may change the deadline for submissions to the contest.

4.) The stories must be written in Spanish, be original, and must be unpublished without previous awards.

5.) Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format, Arial size 14 font, single-spaced.

6.) The paper must begin with a cover page containing the following information:

-First and last name of the author

-The author’s address

-The author’s email address

-The title of the story

-The author’s date of birth

-The author’s grade in school

-The author’s school name and their teacher’s name

-The name of the author’s parent(s) or guardian(s)

7.) Authors are only allowed to submit one story to the contest.

8.) The winning stories will be chosen based on the following evaluation criteria: originality, creativity, spelling, grammar, and presentation.

9.) The story must have a minimum of 400 words and a maximum of 600 words.

10.) Each winning participant authorizes Soy Latino Como Tu to reproduce and make their work available to the general public.
