Mission

  • To educate, empower and develop leadership skills in the youth by promoting self-confidence through cultural awareness.
  • To promote the inclusion of young children from different nationalities with the goal to better understand the diverse cultures from Latin America, including Spain, while also seeking to improve intercultural relations and lower racial discrimination within schools and society.
  • To Increase the connection between the new generations of children born in the United States with their parent’s native background through the Root Trip.
  • Aspire to achieve a global vision in which enriches their quality of education and personal growth through leadership workshops and social engagement.

Vision

  • Promote an intercultural relation between the youth to lead and direct a social change through better understanding to be bicultural and the significance of diversity in the United States.
  • Expand Soy Latino Como Tú to other cities in the country and branch out the benefits of the organization and its programs to other children.
  • Plan trips to the countries of origin of the participants helping them connect with their roots and develop a social project through the “Roots Trip”.
  • Empower children to lead and direct a social change through a better understanding of what it means to be bicultural and the significance of diversity in the United States.
  • Improving the educational development of children through social engagement by helping overcome some of the problems in our community.
  • Expand Soy Latino Como Tú to other cities in the country and branch out the benefits of the organization to reach other children with the programs that are offered within the organization.
